As a proud resident of Whidbey Island since my family's move here in 1976, I've had the privilege of growing up amidst the beauty of Oak Harbor and graduating from Oak Harbor High School in 1987. My journey then took me to Pullman, where I enthusiastically embraced becoming a Coug at Washington State University. Initially drawn towards coaching and education, my path took a pivotal turn when I discovered the intricacies of the anatomy lab, sparking a newfound passion and redirecting my career aspirations.
In 1992, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington State University, laying the foundation for my future endeavors. Transitioning to Seattle, I immersed myself in the world of rehabilitation at Providence Medical Center while diligently pursuing admission to physical therapy school. Eventually, I pursued my Master of Physical Therapy degree at Andrews University in Dayton, Ohio, further honing my skills and knowledge in the field.
Returning to Whidbey Island in 1998, I embarked on a fulfilling journey through various physical therapy departments before ultimately realizing my dream of establishing my own practice. In 2002, I took the leap and opened my first practice in Anacortes, but it was the move to Coupeville in 2005, and opening Compass Manual Therapy in Oak Harbor, that truly felt like coming home.
Here, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve my community while enjoying the natural splendor that surrounds us. Raising my two daughters and watching them graduate from their respective universities has been one of my greatest accomplishments. Outside of work, I find solace and joy in activities such as gardening, fishing, and hiking. Relishing in the beauty of our island home where the allure of both the water and mountains captivates me.
